Three steps to get your CSCS Green Card

Candidates can get the general operative/labourer CSCS Green Card in hassle -free three steps: STEP 1: Attend a hassle-free construction environment Health and safety course. STEP 2: Apply and take the CITB -computer touch screen test. STEP 3: Apply for the CSCS Green card with CITB, once you are successful in the CITB-touch screen test.

Certification

Successful candidates will receive a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (RQF) certificate. And this is the first step towards having a CSCS green card

Results

The exam results are available within 10-15 working days of the exams.  Successful PASS RATE

CSCS General Operative/Labourer Green Card

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Labourer’s Card provides validation that the worker holding it has completed the appropriate training to enable them to work as a general site operative/labourer on a construction site within the United Kingdom.

WHY DO I NEED A GENERAL OPERATIVE/LABOURER CSCS GREEN CARD?

The CSCS card shows that the holder has done the appropriate training which demonstrates their Health and safety knowledge in construction environment and aid employers in demonstrating compliance with relevant construction health and safety regulations. Although, CSCS card is not mandatory and a legal requirement, however most construction sites in the UK require their site operatives to have at least a green CSCS card as it demonstrates a beginner knowledge of health and safety in a construction environment.

Beginning from the 1st of July 2014, in order to apply for the new CSCS green general operative/ labourer card candidates need to complete, Level 1, Health and Safety in Construction Environment as well as pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test to be able to apply for a green card.

Course Duration

The course duration is one day.

Assessment

On completion of the course a multiple-choice exam is conducted to test the Health and safety knowledge of the candidates in a construction environment.
