About the SMSTS Refresher-Classroom Course

Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS-R) – Refresher 2-day Training Course

This two-day course is employed to refresh site managers understanding of their key responsibilities and accountability for site safety, health, welfare, and the environment, to enable them to provide healthy and safe working conditions for workers and others affected by their activities  on site.

The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS-R) Refresher course runs over 2-day and is divided into several elements:

  • Risk assessment and method statements
  • Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations
  • Construction Health, Safety and Welfare
  • Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences (RIDDOR)
  • Behavioural safety
